Study on the Heavy Metals Pollution in the Vegetable Farm Soils Contaminated by Industrial Wastewater in Xinxiang

In the paper the pollution of heavy metals in vegetable farm soils of Xinxiang Contaminated by Industrial Wastewater was discussed.The contents of lead(Pb),cadmium(Cd),chromium(Cr),nickel(Ni),and zinc(Zn) in 12 soil samples were measured.The results showed that the contents of lead,cadmium,chromium,nickel,and zinc ranged from 45.08~245.26 mg/kg,0.54 ~25.60 mg/kg,11.21~90.16 mg/kg,33.88~90.12 mg/kg and 342.32~663.06 mg/kg,respectively.At the same time,the pollution index was calculated based on both the background values of heavy metals in soils from Henan province and the state standard values of soil quality in China.The result indicated that the vegetable farm soils were contaminated seriously based on the background values of heavy metals in soils from Henan province.Based on the state standard values of soil quality in China the average integrated pollution index of the city was polluted by cadmium,nickel,zinc.
