Coupling Analysis on the Crop Irrigation Water Requirements of Huanghuaihai Plain and the Potential Yield of Cultivated Land

Based on the site-based meteorological data in 1991 and 2000, the irrigation water requirements of cultivated land was estimated, the regional differences were explored and the changes from 1991 to 2000 were analyzed using the GIS methodologies. Then the potential yield of cultivated land was calculated based on the AEZ-China model. By the coupling analysis, the positive correlation between the irrigation water requirements and the potential yield of cultivated land was explored. So the irrigation water requirements was a constrain factor on the potential yield of cultivated land in the Huanghuaihai plain now. The result laid the referrences for reasonably using water resources of Huanghuaihai plain and drawing scientific decision on enhancing water efficiency.
