Evaluation and Forecast of Water Resource Carrying Capacity Based on Combination of Multi-object Decision-making and Principal Component Analysis

Taking Hebei province for example, the key factor affecting water resource carrying capacity was studied by principal component analysis. Then a decision model was established with multi-object decision-making method. According to the statistics data of Hebei province from 1991 to 2005 and the 11th 5-year-plan of Hebei province, the total population, the grain gross product, the aquatic product yield, the industrial waste water effluent and the gross domestic product would be 70.87 millions, 25 millions tonne, 1 million tonne, 0.75 billion tonne and 1.7047 thousand billions yuan, respectively. The result would contribute to make a decision for water resource plan.
