Review of the Mechanism of Tree Drought-resistance under Drought Stress and Silviculture Technique of Drought-resistance

Drought influences the growth and development of trees seriously.In this paper,the authors summarized many studies on the drought resistance of trees,introduced the main methods(soil moisture,evapotranspiration and water use efficiency) of study on the water ecology of trees,and explicated the responses of trees to the water stress from two aspects: morphology and physiology,and described the effect of drought stress on photosynthesis,transpiration,water use efficiency,osmotic factors and activity of defense enzyme,then summarized and introduced several silviculture technology of drought resistance briefly,finally advanced the direction of the future study on the water stress.
