CHEN Hao et al (Institute of Food Security Inspection,Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences,Nanjing,Jiangsu 210014)
[Objective] The aim of the research was to analyze the antifungal components of Chinese herb extracts and provide basis for the development of new types of plant pesticides.[Method] With the ethanol extracts from 14 kinds of Chinese herbs including Syzygium aromaticum L.as materials, the inhibitory activities of all kinds of extracts to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in rape were determined. The chemical components in the extracts from S.aromaticum were analyzed by GC-MS method and its effects on the antifungal activity to S.sclerotiorum in rape and the mycelium dry weight of S.sclerotiorum were determined.[Result] The results showed that the inhibitory effects of the extracts from S.aromaticum on the mycelium growth of S.sclerotiorum in rape were better and the inhibitory rate was 100%.[Conclusion] Eugenol was preliminarily verified to be main antifungal component in the extracts from S.aromaticum.
