On Spatial Pattern of Land Use at Different Slopes in Three Gorges Reservoir Area

SHAO Huai-yong et al(Key Lab of Information Technology and Application of Land and Resources,Institute of Remote Sensing and GIS,Chengdu University of Technology,Chengdu,Sichuan 610059)
Based on the technologies of remote sensing and geographical information system, the relation between the spatial distribution pattern and slope in Kaixian of Chongqing was studied by applying digital elevation model and grid model to research. And the patterns of land use at different slope zones, the spatial distribution patterns of main land use types with the gradient changes, and the diversity indexes of land use types at different slope zones were analyzed in detail. The result showed that with the increase of slope, the dominant role of the cultivated land gradually weakened, the dominant roles of the woodland and the grassland gradually strengthened, and the diversity indexes of land use types at different slope zones gradually decreased.Aiming at the actual status of the spatial distribution pattern of land use in the study area, the optimizing orientation for land use pattern adjustment and planning was pointed out.
