Study on the Adsorptiona and Removal of Protonated Cross-linked Chitosan Granules to Nitrate in Water Body

With activated carbon,cross-linked chitosan and protonated cross-linked chitosan as adsorbents,nitrate in sewage was adsorbed and removed and the influences of oscillating adsorption time,protonation time,adsorbent dosage,rotational speed,etc on the removal effect were studied.The results indicated that when the protonation time was 60 min,the adsorption time was 60 min,the oscillating rotational speed was 90 r/min and chitosan dosage was 0.1 g, the removal effect of protonated cross-linked chitosan on nitrate in sewage with nitrate concn.of 20 mg/L was best,with the removal rate reaching 80.74%.Through stimulating the test data by the related mathematical model,it was found that the adsorption process accorded with second-order reaction kinetics,with the linear coefficient of 0.999 8.
