Relationship between Cd Content of Brown Rice and that of Rice Plant

[Objective] The research aimed to study the relationship between Cd content of brown rice and that of rice plant.[Method] A pot experiment with six rice varieties in a paddy soil treated with five levels of cadmium was conducted to study the correlation between Cd accumulation of brown rice and that of rice plant.[Result] It was found that the correlation coefficients were not significant at tillering stage.At heading stage,it was only four correlation coefficients were significant between brown rice Cd content and that of rice stem.At mature stage,the correlation coefficients were all significant at low Cd content of soil.At high Cd content in soil,only the correlation coefficients between brown rice and rice stem were significant.[Conclusion] Cd content of brown rice had relation with rice plant in rice stem.The rice breed with low concentration of cadmium of brown rice can be gained by means of selection of rice breed of low concentration of cadmium in rice stem.
