Study on the Cytochrome P450s in Phenylpropanoid Metabolic Pathway

Phenylpropanoid secondary metabolic pathway influenced many important botanic traits through synthesizing a large number of secondary metabolites such as lignins,flavonoids,etc.The Cytochrome P450 superfamily participated in at least 16 key enzyme reactions in phenylpropanoid pathway.In the view of protein specificity,function,coding gene,expression and regulation,P450s of common phenylpropanoid and its major branch pathways,such as cinnamate-4hydroxylase,flavonoid 3'-hydroxylase,flavonoid-3' 5'-hydroxylase and ferulate 5-hydroxylase were summarized.
