The Preparation of Renewable Green Biodisel Energy with Calcium Oxide as Catalyst

[Objective] The research aimed to study the technological conditions of biodiesel synthesis by the transesterification of oil and methanol.[Method] With the presence of the calcium oxide as base catalyst,the reaction conditions such as the amount of catalyst and the calcination temperature of catalyst was investigated.[Results] With the reaction time of 2.5 h,temperature of 65 ℃,mole ratio of methanol to oil 6∶1,the catalyst dosage of 5% and calcination temperature of 850 ℃,the yield ratio reached 98% and the viscosity of the production met the international standard requirement.[Conclusion] It was in accordance with the situation of southwest of China that used calcium oxide as the solid catalyst in the reaction of biodiesel synthesis.
