Analysis of Spatio-temporal Changes of Land Use in County Level Based on RS and GIS

On the basis of 1991 and 2003 TM images,the change range,transfer matrix and change rate of land use in Chunan County in Zhejiang Province from 1991 to 2003 were obtained by using GIS,spatial analysis and statistic methods.[Result] showed that during the 12 years,cultivated land area and construction land use area increased significantly.Woodland and water area decreased.The annual average change rate was 0.57%.the total dynamics of regional land use was 2.59%.the main driving forces of land use changes were population increase,urbanization and economic development and agricultural structure adjustment.
