Study on the Photosynthesis Characteristic of Super Rice Variety

[Objective] The study aimed to provide the scientific base for popularization and application of super rice varieties.[Method] With 5 super rice varieties as tested materials,their daily change of net photosynthesis rate,transpiration rate,stomatal conductance and intercellular CO2 concn.were observed to study the photosynthesis characteristic of super rice variety.[Result] The net photosynthesis rate in tested rice varieties in order was Jigen 88 Nongda 19 Jigen 83Jiudao 48 Jigen 102.The transpiration rate in each variety was high in the morning and lower in night and their daily variation amplitude was smaller,with the daily mean value of Jigen 88 being highest.The stomatal conductance of Jigen 88 was highest in the morning and then was decreased,and was also risen obviously and then reduced at 15:00,with highest daily mean value.The intercellular CO2 concn.in each variety was higher in the morning and then was decreased slightly,and was also risen in the afternoon and then was reduced,with the highest daily mean value being for Jigen 88.[Conclusion] The various photosynthetic physiological indexes of super rice Jigen 88 was in favor for increasing the photosynthetic rate,so it excelled to other tested rice varieties.
