Acute Toxicity Analysis on the Mixture of Agricultural Mineral Oil with Chlorpyrifos and Avermectin

[Objective] The research aimed to analyze the toxicity of the mixture of agricultural mineral oil with chlorpyrifos and avermectin and provide the basis for the prevention and control of poisoning.[Method] The products samples came from Guangdong Entomological Institute.The test was made according to the national standards of the People's Republic of China(GB 15670-1995) in Toxicological Test Methods of Pesticides for Registration.SPF SD mice were used to made the peroral toxicity test and percutaneous toxicity test.There were ten mice(including 5 female rice and 5 male rice) in each group.New Zealand rabbits were used to make the eye irritation test and skin irritation test,with 4 rabbits in each test.FMMU albino guinea pigs were used to make the hypersusceptibility test, with 13-20 guinea pigs in each group.[Result] Mineral oil pesticides belonged to low-toxicity products and its toxicity would be not increased after mixing mineral oil with chlorpyrifos and avermectin.[Conclusion] Mineral oil could be taken as the pesticide mixture in the development of pesticides.The toxicity of mineral oil was low and the detoxification of mixture could be considered when the poisoning occurred in the production and use process of mineral oil.
