Preliminary Discussion on Forecast Method for the Suitable Sowing Date in Zhengzhou City

According to the date with daily mean temperature passing through 0,3 and 5 ℃ steadily in Zhengzhou City from 1961 to 2001,canonical correlation analysis method was used to forecast the date of the ground temperature at 5 cm passing through 14,15 and 18 ℃.Suitable sowing dates for cotton,peanut,sweet potato and other thermophilic crops during spring in Zhengzhou were ascertained.Through the testing discriminant function for 41 years,it was concluded that the result was good.Prediction analysis was also carried out,and the prediction result was accorded with the actual date.The result could be the main reference for predicting the suitable sowing date of spring crop.
