Enrichment Characteristics and Pollution Assessment of Heavy Metals in Topsoil of Eastern Hebei

Multi-objective geochemical materials of eastern Hubei were used to study the enrichment characteristics and pollution assessment of heavy metals(As,Cd,Cr,Hg and Pb) in topsoil of eastern Hubei.Result showed that,compared with the background value in soil elements in China,the enrichment degree of Cd in topsoil was greater.Compared with the background value in research region,the enrichment degrees of Pb,Cd and Hg in topsoil were greater.Among them,Hg average content was 2.91 times of the background value.The rank of enrichment degree was HgCdPbAsCr.Pollution assessment result of geo-accumulation index showed that the heavy metals caused no pollution,calculating by national soil background value.While based on background value in research region,Hg showed light-middle pollution status,and As,Cd,Cr and Pb caused no pollution.
