Effects of Sucrose-based Polymers on Antioxidant System of Post-harvest Murcott

[Objective] The purpose was to study the fresh-keeping effects of sucrose-based polymers on Murcott.[Method] The post-harvest Murcott was treated by sucrose-based polymers with concentration of 0.5%,0.7% and 1%.The content of malondialdehyde(MDA) and the activities of Superoxide dismutase(SOD),Peroxidase(POD) and Catalase(CAT) in the Murcott fruit were investigated.[Result] Sucrose-based polymers could enhanced the SOD,CAT activity,decreased the MDA content and POD activity.[Conclusion] Sucrose-based polymers could slow obviously decay of fruit,retain the consumption of nutrient content,and prolong the storage life.
