Biochemical Changes of Paphia undulate in Keeping Alive without Water and at Low Temperature Condition

[Objective]The biochemical changes of the Paphia undulate in keeping alive without water and at low temperature condition were studied.[Method] The live mussel was packed in low temperature condition.It was stored in 4 ℃ and its nutrition,ATP and the lactic acid changes were determined.[Result] Paphia undulate could be alive for about 5 days by this methods.Contents of water,ash,protein and fat decreased slightly,while amino acids almost had no change.ATP contents decreased at first,then increased,and decreased finally.Lactic acid contents increased at first,and then decreased,and then decreased.[Conclusion] The technology of keeping Paphia undulate alive without water and at low temperature condition was a good method.
