Effects of SA on Pollen Tube Growth and Flower Senescence

[Objective] Effects of SA on pollen tube growth and flower senescence were studied.[Method] Taking the Yali pear pollen and flower as the materials,effects of SA on pollen germination,pollen tube growth and flowering stage of Yali pear inflorescence were conducted.[Result] 0.002 and 0.02 mmol/L SA promoted the germination of pollen,but the pollen germination rate in treatment with 0.2 mmol/L SA was significantly lower than that of control.Pollen tube under 0.002 mmol/L SA treatment was significantly higher than that of control,which showed the function of promoting pollen tube growth.While the growth of pollen tube was inhibited by 0.2 mmol/L SA.With 0.002 mmol/L SA,the florescence of Yali pear inflorescence was prolonged,while flower withering was accelerated under the concentration of 0.02 and 0.2 mmol/L SA.[Conclusion]Different concentrations of SA had different effects on pollen tube growth and flower senescence.
