Simultaneous Determination of NO_3~- and NO_2~- and the Implementation of MATLAB and SAS for Its Data Treatment

The measurement of NO-3 and NO-2 were carried out simultaneously by means of the ultraviolet two-wavelength first derivative spectrophotometry and its data analysis was implemented by the MATLAB and SAS.The results showed that measurement wavelength for NO-3 was 209 nm by means of the method of the ultraviolet derivative spectrophotometry.However,two-wavelength for NO-2 were 210.5 and 222 nm,respectively,by means of the method of the ultraviolet two-wavelength isoabsorption spectrophotometry.Under the help of SAS,it was showed that the relation between the absolute value of derivative absorbency and the logarithms of the content x for NO-3 were linear and its R-Square=0.965 3;Meanwhile,it was also showed that the relation between the y of derivative difference value absorbency and the logarithms of the content x for NO-2 were linear and its R-Square=0.981 8.The predicted result of the above two kinds of ion content through the analysis of BP algorithm illuminated that the precision was very high.It could concluded that the combination of MATLAB and SAS could enhance the accuracy and the reliability for data treatment.
