Effects of Cd and Zn Combined Pollution on Chlorophyll Content in Broad Bean

[Objective] The study was to research the change of chlorophyll content in broad bean in the environment of combined pollution by Cd and Zn.[Method] Cd concn.of 0,0.1,1,10 and 50 mg/L and Zn concn.of 0,5,50,100 and 200 mg/L in culture fluid were designed to treat the seedlings of broad bean.On the 10th day after treatment,the leaves on the same leaf position of bean seeding were taken to study the effect of single pollution by Cd or Zn and combined pollution by Cd and Zn on chlorophyll content in broad bean.[Result] The chlorophyll contents in broad bean in the treatment of single pollution by Cd or Zn were all lower than that of CK,and with the increasing of Cd or Zn concn.the chlorophyll content was decreased.Except the treatment with 0.1 mg/L Cd+ 5 mg/L Zn,the chlorophyll content in broad bean in other treatments of combined pollution by Cd and Zn were all lower than that in the treatment of corresponding single pollution.When Zn was added in each treatment of single pollution by Cd,with the increasing of Zn concn.,the downward trend of chlorophyll content in broad bean was more obvious,which indicated that Zn increased the poison effect of Cd on broad bean,Zn and Cd showed synergistic effect.[Conclusion] The poison of coexisting status of Cd and Zn had?cooperative,promotive and additive action,and this action was unnegligible.
