Study on Extraction of Urban Green Space from QUICKBIRD Remote Sensing Images

This study aimed to discuss about the extraction of urban green space from a QUICKBIRD image using a hierarchical classification technique.Green space information was obtained based on the spectral characteristics of different objects with the help of available corresponding methods after the combination of QUICKBIRD multi-spectral data.Spectra difference between earth and objects,were analyzed precisely,green space NDVI value in shadow areas were increased nonlinearly to extract and eliminate information.Grading and classification method,by fully considering the different characteristics of each target,avoid the mixture with earth and objects caused by single classification method,which only based on the spectra characteristics.
