Surface Water Quality Assessment in Tuojiang River Basin on the Basis of Factor Analysis Method

Tuojiang River is an important branch of the upriver of Yangtze River.The water quality of Tuojiang River plays a key role in securing the normal social process of producing and living in Chengdu plain and interrelated regions.The factor analysis method was presented to access the surface water quality of a tota1 of 15 monitor sections in Tuojiang River basin.The results indicated that the surface water of lower and upriver reaches of Tuojiang River has suffered severe pollution,but contrarily,the surface water of middle reaches kept good.
