Analysis of Soil Nutrient Characteristics in Main Tobacco-growing Areas in Shaoyang City of Hunan and Its Fertilization Countermeasures

In order to investigate the soil fertility situations in main tobacco-growing areas of Shaoyang City,285 soil samples from 3 main tobacco-growing areas in this city were analyzed.The results showed that pH value,available zinc and available boron content were appropriate in tobacco-growing soil of the whole city.The content of organic matter,available nitrogen and available phosphors were rich.But the supply of exchangeable magnesium,available potassium and water-soluble chlorine were obviously deficient and most tobacco-growing areas were in the state between lack and potential lack.The soil fertility characteristics had greater difference among different tobacco-growing areas.It was suggested that more attentions should be paid to regulate the soil acidity,control N and P application properly,supply Mg fertilizer and increase the application of K and C1 fertilizers in the tobacco-growing areas of Shaoyang.
