QIAN Zheng-min et al(School of Life Science,Guizhou Normal University,Guiyang,Guizhou 550001)
The amount, component and seasonal dynamics of litter fall in a evergreen and deciduous broadleaved Karst forest were studied. The results showed that the annual litter fall production was estimated to be 4 711.42 kg/hm2,of which 64.27% and 15.88% comprised leaf-litter and twig-litter,respectively.Leaf-litter fall production amount of evergreen and deciduous tree-species were 2 144.78 and 883.35 kg/hm2,respectively.Monthly litter fall production showed obvious seasonal dynamics, with three peaks occurring in May,November and December, respectively. The peak was found in November for leaf-litter,in January and February for twig-litter,in May and August for flower and fruit-litter,and in May for other-litter,respectively.
