Comparison on the Volatile Components in Different Years Old Morinda officinalis

[Objective] The aim was to analyze and compare the volatile components in different years old Morinda officinalis.[Method] The volatile components were extracted from M.officinalis by simultaneous distillation and extraction and they and their contents were compared.[Result] Forty-six volatile components were identified from 15 years old M.officinalis,which accounted for 89.98% in the peak area of total ion chromatogram.Nineteen volatile components were identified from 10 years old M.officinalis,which accounted for 70.01% in the peak area of total ion chromatogram.Fourteen volatile components were identified from 6-8 years old M.officinalis,which accounted for 63.23% in the peak area of total ion chromatogram.The volatile components extracted from M.officinalis mainly included acids,aldehydes,alcohols,alkenes and so on.Among them,the content of organic acid was highest,which accounted for 65.28% of volatile components.The palmitic acid accounted for 45.75% of total volatile components.[Conclusion] The matters identified from volatile components of M.officinalis increased as it grew older,in which the contents of main components such as palmitic acid and oleic acid had significant correlation with the age of M.officinalis.
