Study on Rice Growth and Characteristics of Nutrient Elements Absorption Under Interaction of K and Na

[Objective] The aim was to study rice growth and characteristics of nutrient elements Absorption under interaction of K and Na and provide theoretical basis for molecular research of Na+ Absorption and transport mechanism.[Method] The potted hydroponics was conducted with rice cv.Nipponbare to study rice growth and characteristics of nutrient elements Absorption under interaction of K and Na.[Result] The results showed that high Na+ dramatically decreased rice growth and root development,however,short-term removal of K+ supply(9 d) did not affect root morphology and root-shoot ratio.K+ could dramatically inhibit Na+ Absorption,and to a certain extent,Na+ could replace K+ nutrition.Na+ toxicity improved Ca2+ accumulation in rice and decreased Mg2+ in shoot but not in root,lack of K+ promoted Mg2+ Absorption.Sum of cation dramatically increased in root and shoot under salt stress.However,it was declined in shoot in K+ supply cultured rice.Nitrogen accumulation in rice was dramatically reduced by high external Na+ in shoot but not in root,however phosphorus was contrary.Various nutrient showed different root cap distribution.[Conclusion]The mechanism of Absorption and transport in rice vito under interaction of K and Na was revealed.
