Influences of Temperature and Light and Salinity on the Germination of Anabasis aphylla Seeds

[Objective] The study aimed to provide scientific foundation for the ecological restoration of Anabasis aphylla.[Method] With A.aphylla seeds as materials,the influences of temperature,light and salinity on their germination were studied through seed germination experiment.[Result] The 1 000-seed weight,seed length and seed width of A.aphylla seeds were(1.596 9±0.036 8) g,(2.015±0.167) mm and(1.734±0.110)mm.The optimal temperature for the germination of A.aphylla seeds was 15 ℃,under which,both final germination rate and germination potential of the seeds reached their maximums;the sub-optimal temperature was 20-25 ℃ and under 30 and 35 ℃,their germination rates were only 37.5% and 17.5%.The germination rate of A.aphylla seeds was 61.18% in light and 56.11% in darkness.The germination rate of A.aphylla seeds was highest in NaCl solution with concn.at 90 mmol/L,secondary in NaCl solution with concn.at 60 and 120 mmol/L and lowest in NaCl solution with concn.at 300 mmol/L.The germination potential of A.aphylla seeds was highest in NaCl solution with concn.at 90 mmol/L.[Conclusion] The study had important significance in exploiting and utilizing heavy saline-alkali soil,improving ecological environment and increasing economic benefit.
