Diagnosis Analysis of a Gale Weather Case in the Northern Ningxia

ZHOU Cui-fang et al(Meteorological Bureau of Shizuishan City,Shizuishan,Ningxia 753000)  
On the basis of daily observation data,NCEP/NCAR and MM5 data,a diagnosis of a infrequence gale process from May 2 to 3 in 2008 was made with the weather situation and the satellite cloud image and the physical elements.The results showed that the main reason of this strong gale was the pressure gradient caused by cold air in Mongolia and the depression in Qinghai of China.The gale was caused by the mesoscale system that the vorticity advection in upper,temperature advection in middle and lower layer,the explosively developing front cyclones.The momentum descending directly enhanced the surface wind velocity and sand dust.
