Detoxification of Organic Acid against Pollution Rice Plant for Pb and Cd

[Objective] The aim was to study the detoxification of organic acid against the harm of Pb and Cd to rice plant,it could provide a theoretical foundation to the disposal for farmland with Pb and Cd pollution.[Methods] It made some statistics on the seed germination rate of rice plants that were treated with Pb,Cd,citric acid and tartaric acid,and dry weights of their root,stems and leaves,plant protein,as well as content changes of Pb and Cd.[Results] When Cd ≤ 2 mg/L,Pb ≤ 10 mg/L,there was little effect of the organic acids on the germination rate of rice seeds.Citric acid could reduce the toxicity of Pb to rice plants,and made it transfer from the root to the overground parts.Tartaric acid could reduce the toxicity of Cd to rice plants,and favored it transfer from the root to the stems and leaves.However,under the condition of co-treatment of Pb and Cd,the existence of Pb promoted the absorption of rice plants on Cd,but the existence of Cd may inhibit the absorption of rice plants on Pb.[Conclusion] Different organic acids has different detoxifications on rice plants polluted by Pb and Cd.
