Research Summary of Forest Volume Quantitative Estimation Based on Remote Sensing Technology

CHENG Wu-xue et al(Chengdu Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment,CAS,Chengdu,Sichuan 610041)  
This study discussed the conception and development history of forest volume,and introduced the normal methods and the new quantitative estimation methods of forest volume quantitative estimation,such as the methods of remote sensing and artificial nerve network based on remote sensing technology.Finally,it discussed the development trend of forest volume quantitative estimation method.
