Study on the Antibacterial Activity of Volatile Oil from Coreopsis lanceolata L.of Libanotis buchtormensis (Fish) DC.

[Objective]The purpose was to study the antibacterial activity of volatile oil from Coreopsis lanceolata L.[Method]The volatile oil was extracted with water steam distillation.The antibacterial activity was evaluated by paper disc diffusion method and minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) method.[Result]The three volatile oils had significant inhibition effect on Escherichia coli.,Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus mega.[Conclusion]The scientific basis was provided for further research,development and application on Coreopsis lanceolata L.by this study.
