Research on the Interaction of Resveratrol and DNA

[Objective]The basis of the information for the further study on the pharmacological activity of resveratrol was provided.[Method] The interaction between Resveratrol and DNA moleculein in the Tris buffer solution system with the pH value of 6 was studied with the fluorescence spectroscopy,UV technology and the viscosity method.The binding constant and binding site between the resveratrol and DNA were calculated. [Results]At 25℃,the binding constant and binding site between the resveratrol and DNA were 3.96×10~3 L/mol and 1.005 3,respectively. The binding way was the resveratrol embedded into DNA,which could be an important factor that the resveratrol may have anti-cancer efficacy and the resveratrol embedded into DNA affected DNA transcription and replication,resulting in apoptosis of cancer cells.[Conclusion]It was proved that the resveratrol was embedded into DNA,which could be an important reason that the resveratrol had the anti-tumor activity.
