Study on the Antioxidant Activity of Supercritical CO_2 Extract from Adinandra nitida Leaves

[Objective] The aim of the study was to provide reference for exploiting Adinandra nitida leaves.[Method] The supercritical CO2 extract from A.nitida leaves was prepared by supercritical fluid extraction and its antioxidant activity was determined.[Result] After supercritical extraction for 2 h,8.4 g brown resin solid was collected from the first-order separator.GC-MS analysis showed that the main component of this extract was phytosterol,besides it contained some vitamins E.The supercritical CO2 extract from A.nitida leaves had stronger ability on eliminating DPPH radicals and there was obvious linear relationship shown between its concn.and inhibition rate on DPPH(r2=0.998 5).After 0.5 mg/ml supercritical CO2 extract from A.nitida leaves was added,the linoleic acid peroxidation was inhibited significantly and its inhibition rate on linoleic acid peroxidation was maintained above 90% in continuous 3 d.[Conclusion] The supercritical CO2 extract from A.nitida leaves had stronger abilities on eliminating DPPH radicals and inhibiting linoleic acid peroxidation.
