Study on the Diurnal Variation of Paddy Rice Canopy Resistance at Different Growth Stages

[Objective] The study aimed to provided theoretical basis on grasping the change regularity of stomatal resistance of rice.[Method] In the clear day,based on experimental data of diurnal variation of leaf stomatal resistance in different growth periods of hsien rice(Ningjing 1 NO.)and japonica rice(Liangyoupeijiu),the diurnal variation regularity of rice canopy stomatal resistance in different growth stage were analyzed,the difference of stomatal resistance between hsien rice(Ningjing 1 NO.)and japonica rice(Liangyoupeijiu),and the influence of soil water stress on stomatal resistance were discussed.[Result] The diurnal variation regularity of stomatal resistance of hsien rice(Ningjing 1 NO.)and japonica rice(Liangyoupeijiu) were same in the same growth stage,the change approached equilibrium from 9:00 to 15:00,but it increased after 15:00;the leaf stomatal resistance was small in the jointing stage,but it reached the peak in the milk stage.The stomatal resistance of hsien rice higher than japonica rice by comparing the difference of stomatal resistance between hsien rice and japonica rice,and difference was observed in late growth stage.[Conclusion] The soil water content had greatly effects on the stomatal resistance and different rice variety also had different stomatal resistance.The stomatal resistance of rice leaf increased from upper layer to lower layer gradually in the whole growth stages and stomatal resistance of upper layer has acute diurnal change.
