Research on Land Use Change along the Roads of Wuhan Rail Transit Based on Landscape Index

WU Hao et al(School of Resources and Environmental Engineering,Wuhan University of Technology,Wuhan,Hubei 430070)
The information of urban land use was interpreted before and after construction of Wuhan rail transit from remote sensing imagery in 1998,2002 and 2008.Subsequently,nine landscape Indexes were calculated and used to describe the pattern of land use change. The results showed that the construction of rail transit leads to a serious land use change. The built-up area was a dominant land use type and patches and has an obvious concentrated aggregation distribution for the overall spatial pattern;while some small patches such grass land, which were decreasing, represent imbalance pattern at a certain degree.
