Determination of Iron with the Enhanced Chemiluminescence System of Fe(Ⅲ)-Luminol-H_2O_2 by Using of CdTe Quantum-dots

[Objective] The aim was to establish the new method of determining iron with CdTe quantum-dots intensified luminol-H_2O_2-Fe(III) chemiluminescence system.[Method] The iron content in sample solution was determined by using of the enhanced chemiluminescence system of luminol-H_2O_2-Fe(III) with CdTe quantum-dots.[Result] The single factor experiments showed that the chemiluminescence signals were intensified by quantum-dots intensively,so the sensitivity of reaction system was increased;when the luminol concn.was 1.0×10-4 mol/L,the quantum-dots concn.was 7%,and the concn.of H_2O_2 was 0.5%,the chemiluminescence signals were most intensive.The chemiluminescence intensity was linear with iron concn.in the range of 10-700 ng/ml and the linear regression equation was I=2.569C+212.7,the detection limit was 2.25 ng/ml and the RSD was 2.6%.The iron contents in serum 1,2 and water sample 1,2 determined by this method were 143.97,406.05,18.67 and 16.08 ng/ml resp.[Conclusion] This method could be used to determine the iron contents in human serum and tap water.
