Radar Echo Characteristics Analysis of Snowfall Weather in Guilin in 2008

A sustained low-temperature freezing rain and snow weather occurred in Guilin from January 10th to February 5th of 2008.The echo characteristics of snowfall in Guilin based on a new generation of weather radar data were analyzed in detail.The echo characteristics of winter snowfall in Guilin were sum up.The significance of "bovine eye" and its characteristics in the snowfall analysis and the role of wind outline product in the prediction were proposed.And the application of a new generation of weather radar in snow monitoring and snow forecasting were discussed.The radar echo characteristics of snowfall in South China were sum up.
