Response of Soil Moisture to Climatic Changes

Based on the observation data of soil moisture and the corresponding meteorological information at the agricultural weather test stations of Taian in recent 25 years,the basic facts,statistic characteristics and influencing factors of changes of soil moisture in this region were analyzed by using statistic method.The results indicated that the annual changes of the soil moisture basically obeyed to the simple vibration laws.It dropped to the lowest value in early June.There were four phases in one year,including relatively stable phase,large evaporation phase,rainy season resumed phase and slow change phase.The inter-annual change tended to change every 6-7 years.The vertical change range of the soil moisture included active change layer(0-30 cm),rapid change layer(30-60 cm) and relative stable layer(70-100 cm).The difference between transpiration and precipitation(DTP) decided the supply and consumption of soil water.And it had a reverse trend with the soil moisture.DTP in the growing period had the most contribution to the soil moisture.
