Pollution Levels of Airborne Particulate Matter PM10 and PM2.5 in Summer in Nanchang City

In order to investigate pollution levels of airborne particulate matter PM10 and PM2.5 at the summer in Nanchang City,eighty airborne particulate samples were collected at five typical function areas of Nanchang City from July to August in 2007.The results indicated that the pollution by PM10 and PM2.5 was quite serious.The rates exceeding the standard were 55% and 60% respectively.PM2.5 fraction,which was more harmful to human health,accounted approximately 65%.The pollution of five sampling site was traffic route industrial zone business mixing zone residential area outer zone.The regression equation of PM10 and PM2.5 particulate matter in Nanchang was PM2.5=0.545 9PM10,and correlation coefficient was 0.998 3.
