Study on Water-holding Capacity of litter Layer of Different Forest Stand Type in Beijing Montain Area

Water-holding capacity of 7 types forest stand in Xishan Plantation,Miaofeng Mountain and Shenjiagou Village of Beijing were determined.The results showed that litter extant quantity ranges from 1.49 to 10.08 t/hm2.Among which,R.pseudoacacia L.and Q.variabilis Carr.mixed forest was the highest and V.negundo L.was the lowest.The relationship of 7 different forest stand types of un-decomposed litter and half-decomposed litter of water absorption and immersion time was W = Aln(t)+ B,and showed good correlation.
