Nutritional Compositions Determination and Health Efficacy Analysis of Pinus taeda Pollen

[Objection] The compositions and content of mineral substance and amino acids in the pollen of Pinus taeda was determined and also compared with other plants′ pollen,in order to discover the health function of P.taeda pollen.[Method] The compositions and content of mineral elements in the pollen of Pinus taeda were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry and the content of amino acids was measured by using amino acid analyzer.[Result] content of mineral elements in the pollens of P.taeda and P.elliottii was in the order of MgCaMnZnFeCuPbCr Cd. P.taeda pollen contained 20 kinds of natural amino acids.The content of arginine and glutamic acid were the highest,which accounted for 14.81%,14.59% of the total content of amino acids,respectively.And the next were aspartic acid and lysine,accounting about 8.80%,8.83% in the content.And the lowest were proline,leucine,valine,alanine,etc.[Conclusion] The pollen of P.taeda has rich nutrient substance,with the health functions of keeping nutrition balance,immunizing people against diseases,delaying senescence etc.
