Research on the Diet of Bufo gargarizans

[Objective]The research aimed to study the diet of Bufo gargarizans,and to provide references for its application and protection.[Method]From April to June in 2008,an investigation on the status of food of B.gargarizans was made in Mudanjiang region and the diversity of foods was analyzed.[Result]The results showed that B.gargarizans had wide food diversity.The index of the food diversity of female B.gargarizans(H1) was 3.786 7,less than that of male B.gargarizans(H2=3.838 2).[Conclusion]The helpfulness index of B.gargarizans is superior to mankind and plays an important part in keeping the balance of nature and getting rid of agricultural pests.
