Determination of Hydrolysable Ellagitannins in Sweet Tea of Guangxi by HPLC

[Objective]A HPLC method for the separation and determination of hydrolysable ellagitannins in sweet tea of Guangxi was established.[Method]Chromatography was performed on a Waters C18 (250.0 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm) at 254 nm. The mobile phase consisted of a mixture of acetonitrile and 0.2% phosphate acid (18∶82) at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min,hydrolysable ellagitannins in sweet tea of Guangxi were quantizated by external standard method. [Results]The standard curve of linear relationship was 0.100 0-0.875 5 mg/ml and R2=0.999 1,The limits of detection was 0.65 μg/ml. The average recovery was 97.12%,RSD was 1.04%. [Conclusion]The established method was accurate and reliable for the determination of hydrolysable ellagitannins in sweet tea of Guangxi.
