Study on Inherent Qualities Difference of Flue-cured Tobacco Leaves with Different Color

[Objective]The research aimed to study the relationship between leaf color and its main chemical components,inner quality of fluecured tobacco from Southwest tobacco-growing areas. [Method]In 2005 and 2006,the flue-cured tobacco samples from Sichuan and Yunnan Provinces were collected. Their main chemical components were analyzed by Near Infrared Spectrum Analysis Meter,and the sensory evaluation of tobacco samples was conducted by panelists. [Result]The results showed that the chemical composition harmony of X2F was more harmonious than X2L,but X2L was more elegant in smoking. The Nicotine content,total nitrogen content of orange leaves grown in central position were higher than lemon leaves,and the total sugar and reducing sugar content were lower than lemon leaves. Ironically,the chemical composition harmony and smoking quality of orange leaves grown in central position were not as good as lemon leaves. And lemon leaves grown in central position was more elegant in smoking. The chemical composition harmony of B1L was more harmonious than B1F,aroma quantity of B1F was a little higher than B1L. [Conclusion]The study can provide the scientific basis for effectively and reasonably industrial utilization of flue-tobacco leaves.
