Summary and Evaluation on Four Calculation Methods of Vegetation Potential Evapotranspiration

HOU Zhao et al (School of Atmospheric Sciences,Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology ,Nanjing,Jiangsu 210044)  
The four calculation methods of vegetation potential evapotranspiration were summarized.By the comparison,it was concluded that Holdridge life zone method was superior to the other three methods.It was proposed that Holdridge life zone model can be used to simulate potential vegetation distribution in China.It was suggested that the relationship between vegetation distribution and climate should be discussed.It was thought that it was of important significance for studying the relationship between vegetation and climate.
