Land Surface Parameters and Vegetation Indexes Estimated from Satellite Remote Sensing Over Eastern Part of Northwest China

Based on the NOAA-16 AVHRR data and combined with the surface reflectivity observation data in Dingxi and Lanzhou,the best scheme of land surface parameters and vegetation indexes in eastern part of Northwest China were calculated.By the use of five scences of land surface parameters of the growing seasons from April to August in 2001-2003,the regional distribution characteristics of surface reflectivity,surface temperature,difference between surface and air temperature,NDVI,MSAVI and vegetation coverage rate were analyzed according to different land cover types.The results showed that NDVI and MSAVI were significant different among different land cover types,in which the changes in the junctures of loess plateau and Qingling Mountains,Qingzang plateau were more significant.
