Study on Antioxidant Activity of Epimedium Extract

HOU Li-li et al(Biological and Agricultural Engineering College,Jilin University,Changchun,Jiling 130022)  
The effective ingredients of epimedium extracted from different solvents are applied for the test of antioxidant activity and are compared with TBHQ antioxidant in this paper.Results prove that ethyl acetate and chloroform extract have the highest antioxidant activity.When concentrations reach 0.3 mg/ml,the antioxidant activity of Epimedium extract and TBHQ are the same.When concentrations reach 0.5 mg/ml,the antioxidant activity of Epimedium extract are higher than that of TBHQ.
