Investigation on Heavy Metal Pollution of Sediments in Xiangjiang River in Changzhutan

6 sediments speciments were sampled from Xiangjiang River based on the distribution of industrial park for analyzing Cu,Pb,Zn,Cd,Ni,Cr,As,Hg.The potential ecological risk index and the index of geoaccumulation were used to evaluate the contamination level of heavy metals in the sediments.The results showed that the sediments of Xiangjiang River in Changzhutan had been seriously polluted by heavy metals.The orders of the degree of contamination and potential ecological risk were CdZnCuPb=NiHgAs=Cr and CdHgPdCuZnAsCr,among which Cd was the prediment factor.There was different between the result of the potential ecological risk index and the index of geoaccumulation,which was due to the difference of reference value and reference system.
