Study on Extraction of Bioactive Peptide from the Seeds of Apium graveolens Linn.(Celery) from Xinjiang of China

MA Qing-ling et al(Xinjiang Laboratory of Plant Resources and Natural Products Chemistry Key Lab of Autonomous Region,Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Urumqi,Xinjiang 83001)
Using single factor and orthogonal experiments, bioactive peptide was extracted by phosphate buffered solution with assistance of supersonic from the seeds of Apium graveolens Linn.(Celery) from Xinjiang of China, and the peptide by(NH4)2SO4(80%)precipitation was used as an index to determine the amount of peptides. The optimum extraction conditions were as follows:pH 9.0,time of extraction by supersound 30 min, ratio of solution to solid 5.0∶1.And the radical-scavenging activity of the peptides was determined with ABTS assay.
