Analysis of Variation of the Chemical Components and Polyphenols in Different Generation Flue-cured Tobacco Population

[Objective] The aim was to provide theoretical basis for high aroma breeding.[Method] Variation and relationship between the chemical components and polyphenols of different generation flue-cured tobacco population in the breeding process of recurrent selection were analyzed.[Result] The content of carbohydrates(reducing sugar,total sugar and starch) and potassium in the C1 population were significantly lower than those in the original parental population,and the content of the nitrogenous compounds(nicotine,total-nitrogen and protein),chlorine,volatile acid,volatile alkali and petroleum ether extracts were significantly higher than those in the original parental population.The gross of polyphenols in different population showed:C0 population original population C1population,and the difference between C0 and C1 population was significant.The correlation analysis indicated that the gross of polyphenols had negative correlation with the content of the nitrogenous compounds,volatile acid,volatile alkali,petroleum ether extracts,and positive correlation with the content of potassium,and different correlation with the content of carbohydrates and chlorine in different generations.[Conclusion] The correlation between polyphenols and main chemical components was strengthened by recurrent selection..
